Small and medium enterprises are the main engine of economic growth in Hong Kong and much of southern China. The University of Hong Kong’s Asian Research Center (ACRC), supported by the Hong Kong Government’s Department of Trade and Industry, conducted a series of surveys to highlight the challenges faced by small businesses and entrepreneurs. Hong Kong. and some of the new methods they used. The subject matter of the case studies is diverse and covers different functions and areas of management. This casebook is an anthology of 28 cases from the series. The cases are written from a strong management perspective to provide a practical and interesting view of how successful business managers in Hong Kong innovate in the form of successful new products, services, processes and technology when faced with various organizational and environmental problems. They create a comprehensive course of study; each case can also be considered separately.
