Mary Teichert is President of Teichert Inc., a fifth generation family business established in 1887 and holding a #8 California Contractor’s License. Teichert’s operations have excavated, graded, graded and delivered materials for thousands of miles of California roads and streets, tens of thousands of lots and countless acres of construction projects, as well as highways, airports, bridges, dams, levees and other vital infrastructure. .

Mary started at Teichert as a quality assurance technician and her career with the company included plant management, materials sales, estimating, project management and management positions before becoming COO in 2013 and CEO in 2020. In 2021, Mary led the streak. Workshops sponsored by the Small Business Administration, CSLB, BIA and the California Capital Women’s Business Center to help women and minorities become licensed contractors. Prior to Teichert, Mary was Apple’s chief strategy officer and a consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco.
Mary is currently the Vice Chair of the California State Licensing Board, Vice President of The Beavers (Heavy Construction Association), AGC Board Member, Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, and Board Member of the California Construction Industry Association (CBIA). He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Harvard College. When she’s not at work, Mary enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time watching her three teenage sons play every sport possible.
