Main Street Small Business Tax Credit 2021 – The Main Street Business Small Tax Credit II will provide qualified small business employers with financial assistance related to Covid-19. On November 1, 2021, the California Department of Taxation and Fee Administration will begin accepting non-binding small business booking applications through our online booking system. Eligible small business employers must apply to the CDTFA for credit retention. Loan savings will be allocated to qualified small business employers on a first-come, first-served basis. The reservation system will be available from November 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021 or earlier if the allocation limit is reached. Eligible small business employers can apply for a $1,000 net increase grant for qualified employees.

California FTB Announces Small Business Tax Credit Priority – Get Your Savings Now! – Businesses can receive up to $100,000

December 27, 2020 – The season to book your Small Business Tax Credit has begun! To claim the credit, taxpayers must obtain a non-binding credit reservation between December 1, 2020 and January 15, 2021. The California Department of Taxation and Tax Administration (CDTFA) administers the reservation where you can apply. The total available debt is $100 million and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is Interest On Credit Cards Tax Deductible?

The credit can reduce sales and use taxes or income and franchise taxes. Taxpayers must choose which tax to enter when making a booking request.

Each taxpayer is eligible for a credit of up to $100,000. The credit amount is $1,000 per employee increase, as compared to the equivalent monthly rate for full-time employees. The increase is measured by comparing the period from July to November 2020 and the period from April to June 2020.
