Dawn Foods is a local Douglasville business that has been in the area for over twenty years. Aurora Esca started a family bakery in Michigan, and the Jones family continues to manage the business. By giving their time and talents to provide support, the Dawn Foods Foundation invests in communities where they have resources and services. With an important focus on health, education and community improvements, they support their groups in their restoration efforts. The purpose of public art is not only to enhance community and improve our quality of life, through its ability to expand the environment, but also to ignite the imagination, stimulate thought, and stimulate conversation. Public art gives the community places to create, bring people together and can be used as a tool for economic development. Public art can strengthen personal connections to the community as well.
